HACRO – the Hellenic Association of Contract Research Organizations – participated in the High-Level Policy Round Table “IBD Greece 2030”, held on 19 May 2026, represented by its President Evangelia (Lia) Koraki in the panel discussion “Pharmaceutical Innovation, Clinical Trials and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).”
During the discussion, Ms Koraki highlighted that Greece is gradually moving beyond a period of fragmented initiatives towards a more coherent national strategy for clinical research. She emphasised that the next critical step is to ensure that this positive momentum is translated into long-term, measurable outcomes that strengthen the healthcare system, foster innovation and improve the quality of patient care.
She noted that sustaining progress will require the consistent implementation of reforms, continued collaboration among all stakeholders and a long-term strategic vision that enables Greece to further enhance its competitiveness as a destination for international clinical research.
HACRO extends its warm congratulations to the Hellenic Society of Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis Patients (HELLESCC), its President Vasiliki Rafaela Vakouftsi, and the Hellenic Group for the Study of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (EOMIFNE) for the excellent organisation of this important policy dialogue.
