At this year’s 14th Panhellenic Patients Conference, representatives of the Alliance for Promoting the Value of Clinical Trials—Katerina Koutsogianni (Greek Patients Association), Evangelia (Lia) Koraki (HACRO – the Hellenic Association of Contract Research Organizations) and Lefteris Thireos (Athens Medical Association)—presented the Alliance’s mission and objectives for the first time to patient organisation representatives and conference participants.
As a founding member of the Alliance, HACRO is committed to advancing clinical research in Greece and strengthening public awareness and understanding of clinical trials. Through the expertise and experience of its member Contract Research Organizations (CROs), HACRO contributes to the delivery of high-quality clinical trials and supports the continued growth of Greece’s clinical research ecosystem.
A key focus of the Alliance is to address the lack of public awareness and trust that can discourage participation in clinical trials. Through evidence-based communication and educational initiatives, the Alliance aims to foster transparency, build public confidence and encourage informed participation in clinical research.
By promoting a modern culture that recognises the value of scientific progress, the Alliance also seeks to strengthen Greece’s position as an attractive destination for clinical research, ultimately benefiting patients, healthcare and society as a whole.
