HACRO President Evangelia (Lia) Koraki participated as a speaker at the 4th Educational Conference, organised by the Scientific Society for Continuing Education in Clinical Research (EEDIEKE) in collaboration with the Haematology–Oncology Department of Theagenio Cancer Hospital in Thessaloniki. The conference, entitled “Good Clinical Practice for Conducting Clinical Trials in Greece Today,” brought together experts to discuss current developments and best practices in clinical research.
In her presentation, “The Role of CROs in the Next Era of Clinical Trials,” Ms Koraki highlighted the profound impact that artificial intelligence and digital transformation are already having on clinical research. She emphasised that today’s Contract Research Organizations (CROs) have evolved beyond their traditional operational role to become strategic partners for sponsors throughout the clinical development process.
By combining scientific expertise, technological innovation and a patient-centred approach, CROs help bridge the gap between scientific discovery and patient access to new therapies. At the same time, they play a critical role in ensuring the quality, efficiency and integrity of clinical trials.
HACRO extends its sincere thanks to the Scientific Society for Continuing Education in Clinical Research (EEDIEKE) and Dr Eirini Katodritou, Chair of the Organising Committee, for the kind invitation and the excellent organisation of this important educational event.
