HACRO – the Hellenic Association of Contract Research Organizations – participated in the 10th Panhellenic Conference “Molecular Medicine: From the Laboratory to Clinical Practice – Challenges and Questions X,” held on 25–27 June 2026, with a presentation by HACRO President Evangelia (Lia) Koraki during the session “Clinical Trials in Greece – The Need for New Therapies and Growth.”
During her presentation, Ms Koraki outlined the significant regulatory developments currently underway in Greece, alongside the European Union’s evolving agenda for clinical trials, biotechnology and the life sciences. She highlighted that Greece is now presented with a unique opportunity to strengthen its position as an attractive destination for clinical research within an increasingly competitive European landscape.
She emphasised that fully capitalising on this momentum will require more than individual reforms. A long-term national strategy is essential to ensure continuity, policy consistency and sustainable growth, enabling Greece to attract greater investment, accelerate innovation and expand patients’ access to new therapies.
